Real Estate and Development

Dick Klein has been a licensed real estate broker in the state of Montana since 1978.  Having held licenses in Wyoming and Arizona as well, he has made the commitment to work only within the state of Montana.  During this period he has actively conducted brokerage transactions amounting to several million dollars.  He has purposely made the decision to operate in real estate development as his mainstay and has developed properties from several hundred dollars up to several millions of dollars.  In 1986, for example, he fronted an investment group, purchased the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital and remodeled it into low-income housing apartments while simultaneously obtaining numerous tax and financial incentives from the State of Montana and from the Federal Government.  Recently he was the lead in the acquisition and development of a multiple million dollar project to construct storage in Tucson Arizona.  The partners sold this property successfully in July of 2014.

He has acquired numerous rental properties during this trip and continues to operate them today.  He is a member of the Yellowstone Property Managers Association and maintains his license with the Board of Realty Regulation.

In order to be successful in Real Estate Development one must never fall in love with the project and Mr. Klein;s experience in this arena is vast.  The market must be right.  One can only gasp at the projects which are constructed in the wrong markets and lead to an inability to operate and resultant failure.  One needs to examine the market to determine if the project is at all feasible.  Dick can help.

In keeping with his desire to concentrate on development, his real estate brokerage does not have any properties for sale at the present time.
